On October 27, 2021 Ambassador Hashem Dajani received the head and members of the Preparatory Commission of the General Union of Palestinian Students (Kyiv Unit) at the Embassy`s headquarters. Ambassador Dajani familiarized them with the latest developments in their Homeland, and the nature of the Ukrainian-Palestinian bilateral relations at the official and popular levels.
He also reviewed the stages of reviving the General Union of Palestinian Students in Ukraine, stressing the important role the Union played in the long march of the Palestinian struggle and the importance of its role in the current stage.
During the meeting, the Ambassador stressed the need to pay attention to students’ affairs, activate their role, prepare the new student conference, and improve their activities. He emphasized the Embassy’s keenness to maintain open communication with the Union in order to help resolve pending issues.
For his part, Mr. Thaer Amru thanked the Ambassador on behalf of his colleagues for the warm reception and praised the role of the Ambassador and the Embassy staff in supporting students in Ukraine.
