Documents needed for legalization of Bachelor’s and Master’s diplomas:

  1. Certificate of successful completion of the preparatory faculty translated into English and certified by notary only
  2. Diploma and supplement (list of grades) certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine
  3. Certificate issued by the university stating the year of enrollment, year of graduation and the type of study sealed by the university
  4. Passport and residence permit

 

In case of studying at more than one university, the following documents shall be added:

  1. Transfer certificate (academic record certificate) translated and certified by notary and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine
  2. Certificate issued by the receiving university stating the basis for receiving, as well as list of subject examinations (if passing of the missing credits is needed) translated into English and certified by notary and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

Important note: in the event of transfering from one university to another, the duration of study at the previous university must be not less than 3 academic years in specialisation “general medical practice” and not less than 2 academic years in other specializations.

 

Documents needed for legalization of specialization diplomas (clinical residency):

  1. Diploma and supplement (list of grades) certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
  2. Certificate issued by the university stating the year of enrollment, year of graduation.

Important note: to get additional information concerning the period of study (academic years) corresponding to medical specialties, please visit the Palestinian Medical Council

 

Documents needed for legalization of Ph.D. diplomas:

  1. Ph.D. diploma certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine
  2. Original doctoral dissertation sealed by the university
  3. Certificates confirming the passing of 3 government exames in English
  4. Certificate issued by the university stating the year of enrollment, year of graduation and the type of study sealed by the university
  5. Summary of doctoral dissertation (autoabstract) in English
  6. Passport

Important note: Duration of the doctoral program must not be less than 3 academic years

 

Conditions for admission to Ukrainian universities

According to Article (3) of the decision of the Minister of Education and Higher Education of Palestine regarding the Instructions for the Recognition of Non-Palestinian Governmental Higher Education Institutions, the Higher Committee for Equivalence of Non-Palestinian Diplomas shall recognize a foreign governmental educational institution if the institution is formally classified in the country of its establishment as a governmental higher education institution.

Ukrainian higher education institutions that are classified as governmental are recognized by the Higher Committee for Equivalence of Non-Palestinian Diplomas.

According to Article (4) of the decision of the Minister of Education and Higher Education of Palestine, the Higher Committee for Equivalence of Non-Palestinian Diplomas adopts the following principles and criteria for recognition of non-governmental educational institutions:

  1. Recognition of the non-governmental educational institution by the competent official authorities in the country of its establishment
  2. Accreditation from one of the recognized international accreditation bodies
  3. Ranking of the institution according to the international classification principles approved by the Committee

 

Instructions for studying in Ukraine:

In order to enter the higher education institution, the applicant must obtain in advance the Palestinian high school diploma or its equivalent, provided that the average grade corresponds with the specialization chosen by the candidate (common specialities, medicine, pharmacy and engineering).

A student enrolled in Ukrainian universities and institutes has the right to choose one of the following languages for the studying process: Ukrainian, Russian, or English.
