Ambassador of Palestine to Ukraine Hashem Dajani received at the Embassy headquarters the newly elected Administration of the Palestinian community in Kyiv. Ambassador Dajani welcomed the results of the conference recently conducted by the community and congratulated the new Administration, wishing its members success and stressing the importance of the community’s role in serving the Palestinian people and strengthening its steadfastness. He also confirmed the necessity to continue moving with Ukrainian institutions, as the community forms a bridge for cultural and social communication between the two friendly peoples. Mr. Ambassador also emphasized the importance of preserving national and cultural identity and activating the community through constant communication with all the Palestinians in the city of Kyiv and its suburbs, reaffirming keenness to strengthen their national unity.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed prospects of future activity of the community, as well as mechanism of joint cooperation with the Embassy of Palestine in Ukraine and measures to encompass all the Palestinian capabilities present in Kyiv into the Palestinian community.
It is worth mentioning that the general conference of the community was held on July 3, 2021 under the title “National Unity Conference” where the new Administration headed by Dr. Yahya Sheikh Talib was elected. The newly elected Administration also include the following members:
