The Ambassador of the State of Palestine, H.E. Hashem Dajani, received the Grand Mufti of Ukraine and Head of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, Sheikh Ahmed Tamim, at his office. The Ambassador briefed the Mufti on the latest developments in Palestine, particularly the humanitarian suffering caused by the ongoing, brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has targeted innocent civilians, especially children, as well as the destruction of places of worship, hospitals, schools, and all civil infrastructure.
Ambassador Dajani also expressed the embassy’s commitment to maintaining communication with religious and social organizations that strive to promote peace and harmony among nations.
In turn, Sheikh Tamim spoke about the activities of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine and its role in following a moderate approach and rejecting extremism. He also affirmed the justice of the Palestinian cause and presented the ambassador with a set of religious books published by the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine.
Both sides exchanged well wishes for the Palestinian and Ukrainian peoples, hoping for an end to the war and the return of peace and stability to their lands.
