On February 25, 2026, at the invitation of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and the Lebanese Cultural and Information Center, Mr. Samir Abu-Kharub, Head of the Administrative and Cultural Section of the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Ukraine, representing Ambassador Hashem Dajani, took part in the presentation of the first Arabic translation of the drama-fantasy “The Forest Song”
The distinguished diplomatic event was held on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka, the author of the work and one of the central figures in Ukrainian literature.
The program featured remarks by the Director of the Academy, Mr. Ihor Ostash, the Director of the Lebanese Cultural and Information Center, Ms. Nataliia Bodak, and literary scholar Mr. Serhii Halchenko. The event also included an artistic reading of excerpts from “The Forest Song” in Arabic by students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, as well as a musical performance on the traditional Ukrainian sopilka.
