Ambassador Hashim Al-Dajani met with H.E. Paul Lehmann, the Australian Ambassador accredited to Ukraine, where he briefed him on the latest political developments on the Palestinian scene, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip and the suffering of unarmed civilians as a result of the recent Israeli aggression.
Ambassador Al-Dajani expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the Government and people of Australia for their solidarity and support for Palestine and the just cause of its people. He emphasized that Australia’s recognition of the State of Palestine represents a historic step that will enhance the prospects for peace, stability, and security in the region.
For his part, Ambassador Paul Lehmann reaffirmed his country’s support for the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state in accordance with the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions, expressing his hope that the peoples of the region will enjoy peace and prosperity.
