On October 7, 2021, on the occasion of the Day of Artist and upon the invitation of the Chairman of the Board of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Ambassador Hashem Dajani accompanied by Palestinian Art Ambassador Dr. Jamal Badwan met with the Chairman of the Board Mr. Konstantin Chernyavsky and Deputy Chairman of the Board Mr. Mykola Kyshchuk.
On this occasion, Ambassador Dajani presented his best wishes to the Chairman of the Board and all the artists, stressing the Palestinian Side’s keenness to deepen and strengthen cooperation in the field of culture and arts between the two friendly peoples. The Ambassador also told about the interest of Palestinian artists in the participation of Ukrainian artists in organizing joint art events. He requested assistance from the administration of the Union in facilitating the organization and conducting of Palestinian art events in Ukraine and invited the Chairman of the Board to visit Palestine, as it is a Holy Land and a global spiritual treasure glorified by artists. Ambassador Dajani also told about the important role of art in conveying the message from the Palestinian people to the world, as they live under occupation and suffer from historical injustice, expressing by means of art their aspiration for freedom, independence, ending of the Israeli occupation and peace building.
The Ambassador also thanked the Chairman of the Board for the hospitality, and the public figure in the field of culture and art Mr. Andriy Gorchakov for organizing the meeting. The two parties exchanged souvenirs.
