Ambassador Hashem Al-Dajjani met with the Ambassador of Norway, Helen Andersen, in her office at the headquarters of the Norwegian Embassy in the capital, Kiev. The meeting discussed the latest political developments and developments in the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and the suffering of defenseless civilians as a result of the policy of genocide and the bloody massacres that Israel commits daily against the Palestinians. Al-Dajjani also expressed the appreciation of the Palestinian government and people to Norway and its friendly government and people for their efforts to stop the aggression and for their solidarity and support for the Palestinian people and their just cause.
Al-Dajjani appreciated Norway’s recognition of the State of Palestine and its commitment to supporting stability in the region, stressing that this historic step will contribute to strengthening peace and security in the Middle East and bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to that it will contribute to more international recognition.
In turn, Her Excellency Andersen stressed her country’s position in support of Palestine and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the embodiment of their independent state in accordance with the principle of the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions, and the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
