Palestinian participation in the 18-th International Tourist Exhibition

The work of the 18-th International Tourist Exhibition has been completed in the Ukrainian capitalKiev. More than 600 international tour companies from more than 50 countries participated in this exhibition, including Palestine, which participation was characterized by visits of delegations of the Ministry of tourism and antiquities and of the Palestinian private tourism sector. These delegations were from 9 companies and included representatives of associations and organizations from the private tourism sector, tour and travel companies, hotels…etc.

Ambassador of Palestine in Ukraine, Doctor Mohammad Alasaad participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which was inaugurated by the head of the Organization of tourism promotion and the Deputy Minister of tourism and culture in Ukraine. A large number of officials, heads of the participating delegations and ambassadors of countries accredited in Ukraine were present. At the ceremony, Asaad delivered a speech, in which he thanked the Ukrainian side for organizing this important tourism forum, invited to visit the Palestinian section in the exhibition, and called for organizing tours to Palestine that is famous for its ancient heritage, religious and tourism factors that have been important along the history for people from.

Geries Qamseyeh the head of the Palestinian delegation had stated that the Palestinian participation in this exhibition (one of the most important tourist exhibitions in Ukraine) is a result of full and sustained coordination with the Palestinian embassy in Ukraine and the high interest from the Ambassador Alasaad’s side, and it is also the result of the marketing efforts of the Ministry of tourism and antiquities. These efforts are aimed at the promotion of Palestinian tourism and the progress in movements of tourists and pilgrims from all over the world to visit the important historical, cultural and religious cities and places. The efforts include opening new markets of Palestinian tourism, and providing the tourism private sector with support for making it possible to be always in connection with international and Ukrainian tour agencies and for attracting guests, tourists and delegations to visit Palestine and learn about the historical, religious and cultural places in it.
